BikeTalk ("the App") is developed by Digital Gemba, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.
BikeTalk collects no data whatsoever. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no third-party SDKs, and no tracking. We have no way to access your information or your audio. This matches our App Store privacy label: Data Not Collected.
When you toggle your mic on, your voice is transmitted directly to nearby devices using Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework — the same peer-to-peer technology behind AirDrop. Audio travels between devices over Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi. It never touches the internet, never passes through any server, and is never recorded, stored, or uploaded — by us or anyone else. When you toggle your mic off, the audio stops. Nothing is saved.
The App stores the following data locally on your iPhone:
This data is stored using iOS UserDefaults and never leaves your device.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to:
BikeTalk does not require any account creation, login, or registration. There are no usernames, passwords, or email addresses involved.
The App contains zero third-party SDKs. No analytics (no Firebase, no Crashlytics, no Mixpanel), no advertising frameworks, no tracking pixels, no cloud services. The only network communication is the peer-to-peer connection between nearby devices via Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework.
BikeTalk requests three iOS permissions, each essential for the app to function:
All data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all data permanently.
The App does not collect any information from anyone, including children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
